Reporting and Managing Spam

We use ASSP to filter SPAM. It use very clever ways to filter the good mails from the junk mails automatically. As a program it cannot be 100% accurate all the time, but it does learn from feedback. One of the feedback methods is from you as customer.

For this ASSP has a list of e-mail address that you can use to control spam.

  • Each command is sent as an email.
  • It is important that the e-mail must be sent from a local or authenticated mail user on the server.

Summary of commands:

  • assp-blockreport: request to get a report about blocked emails for your account.
  • assp-help: request for help.
  • assp-spam: report Spam that got through.
  • assp-notspam: good mail that was mistakenly listed as spam.
  • assp-white: add addresses to the whitelist which should not be marked as SPAM.

  • You will receive a mail back indicating the probability that the e-mail is spam.

How to blacklist an e-mail address: assp-persblack@

  • If you receive mail from a person that you don't want, you can add that email address to your personal blacklist to block any mails from it.
